Dining and Livingroom

An open-air living room is accented with white columns and basked in the painted wall cinnamon-colored hue. Intricately carved Javanese furniture is carefully positioned to maximize comfort and keep the view of the rice-terraces. Painstakingly created silk batiks hang on the walls, and original oil paintings from the Jogjakarta are prominently displayed. Throughout this entire villa is a sense of tropical exsistence, with hanging plants and small gardens positioned in various locations. And an expansive open-plan living room with large TV provides all the comfort you need as you sit back and enjoy your Bali escape. Step across a small bridge that overlooks a waterfalland fishpond and enter a beautifully designed Bale Bengong, where you dine on sumptuous meals prepared by your own personal chef.

Bedrooms and Baths

Entering the bedrooms of Villa Tandeg Besar brings you in touch with uniquely appointed and individually styled Bali living. The Master Bedroom is golden hued with cool pebble-tiled floor and natural-wood vaulted ceilings. Hanging on the walls are tapestries from Burma and Thailand. The king-sized custom-made bed with cascading mosquito netting is roomy enough for a whole family.

The Master Bathroom is a tropical haven. Vines cascade down the wall, and a waterfall shower empties into a huge bathtub that is more than big enough for two people to lounge and become fully reclined, if desired.

Sliding doors from the master bedroom lead to a comfortable outdoor lounge area overlooking a tropical garden and ricefields.

The Second Bedroom is wrapped in its own color and decorated with artifacts from throughout Asia. The dreamy blue-hued room with matching mosquito netting has a full-sized armoire and beautifully carved standing mirror. Study Room (extra), a spare bedroom with a comfortably sized daybed, is a romantic interlude in this multi-layered villa. The brick walls of the kitchen are invitingly warm, and the dark-wood teak countertops are wide and roomy.The kitchen is set off to the side but, from it elevated vantage point, you can easily view the living and dining rooms, along with the expansive pool and ricefields beyond. The kitchen,renovated recently, is fully equipped with all new appliances. There is a roomy refrigerator, large stove and oven, along with all the utensils and appliances needed in this very functionable and appealing kitchen. A teak-wood casual dining area is nearby, able to sit six people who have a front-row seat to the pool and rice terraces.

Ground

A full-lenght pool provides a stunning foreground for the rice terraces. This is what Villa Tandeg Besar is all about-the view. The hallway is painted walls bask you in a sunset ginger-colored hue that is carried into the living and dining rooms, and its tastefully done decor pays close attention to detail. From the original Indonesian paintings on its walls to unique collectibles found throughout the villa, the owners have made this a confortable home for Asian and global artifacts gathered during their decades of travel.

Brass-handled doors lead into two separate bedrooms, each with new air conditioning, ceiling fans, safety box, loveseat and table. One bed room is painted a pale green, the other are pale blush, and romantic mosquito netting cascades around the queen-sized beds. The beds are flanked with exquisitely hand-done batik scarves made by the renowned Amaranggana batik artist in central Java. On the beginning of 2008, a new villa Tandeg Baru just finished its construction. The area of this new villa is 700sqm with 260sqm building. The villa contains four bedrooms, four ensuite bathrooms, very spacious living/dining areas with stunning views of the paddy fields. This villa has been furnished to the highest standard and includes 47 inch Sony flat screen television with surround sound.

Bedrooms

The villa is equipped with four bedrooms: one king sized bed (master bedroom), queen sized bed on second and third bedroom, and a twin at the fourth. Each bedroom is airconditioned and with overhead fan, and is equipped with a private en-suite (bathtub and shower).
